A family reunion…

We had plans to go to Battambang for a trip. I wanted to see my family because I didn’t see them for ten years. I heard they live in Battambang Province but I don’t know where, so I called to my father, I didn’t see him long time too,  and asked him if he know where they live.
For the whole trip see Eric’s weblog.
On sunday we, Eric and I, took the bambootrain to go to the village where my mother and sisters live. When we arrived after two hours we went to ask the villagechief about the name of my mother and my sisters and then he told one guy to bring us to meet my mother. When we arrived there my sister Din saw me and ran to me and hold me strong and said how I knew that she lives here.

I told her the story and I asked her about my mother and my younger sister, She said she lives here with my aunt Sey and my grandmother and my mother lives at Preah Leap with my younger sister Pich. We went to the pagoda to see my stepbrother, he’s a monk now and we went to meet my aunt and my grandmother.

I called to my mother and my younger sister, who where in Kandal Province at that time, to tell them that now I’m at Kors Krolor, the name of village where my sister lives, and she asked me when I come back to Phnom Penh because she wants to see me. I told her on friday so on saturday I invited her to come to my house.
So last saturday I met my mother and younger sister Pich at our house. They also bring Din, her husband and little kid who we met at Battambang Province one week ago. We talked a lot about our lives so far and we had a great time together…

Pich, me and Din in Phnom Penh last sunday…

I like swimming…

…but I cannot.
Last week we went to Siem Reap because Eric has business overthere and we stayed at Lotus Lodge because it has a swimming pool. We rent 1 room for the 3 of us. Well that’s cheap. The first thing that we (Chorry and me) did was to change clothes and put on our new bikini’s and then we went to swim.

Well…we tried to.
In the evening we went to Nisa’s restaurant, it’s called Le Tigre de Papier, to meet my friends Nisa and Alex for dinner and we had the snake and kangaroo BBQ. We really enjoyed that.

Next day we had a swim at Nisa’s new hotel not far from the old market but the road was very bumpy. We talked a lot and then we went into the water.

Jeanluc (husband of Nisa) and his 16 years old son were also in the swimming pool. We had a lot of fun but the boy didn’t recognize us because we didn’t have make -up on.
In the evening we had the special dinner prepared by Jeanluc before we went back home to the Lodge, where we take photographs of the swimming pool and us diving.

Yes, we like swimming…..
but we cannot, just diving :-)
